The CNBC/Generation Lab survey was conducted between April 26 and May 2, and has a margin of error +/- 3.1%. We'll take a deeper dive into what options traders are betting on in Disney and propose an alternative with a higher probability for a profit. Disney (DIS) traded above average call volume on Friday, with calls outpacing puts by nearly two-to-one. While that is higher than the long-term average earnings-related move, Disney has been quite volatile in recent quarters. Buyers of those calls are betting Disney will rally at least 6.75% by the end of the week. An investor who is willing to take more risk in exchange for a higher probability of profit might instead consider a diagonal call spread.

Opinion | The Case for Letting Mortgages Move With Us

At the moment, the market for existing homes is partly frozen because people who have 3 percent mortgage loans don’t want to give them up for 7 percent loans on new homes. Making mortgages portable sounds unrealistic. After all, mortgages are tied by contract to particular pieces of property. “We’re getting this question a lot, even from our own members,” Mike Fratantoni, the group’s chief economist, told me. Nevertheless, he said he couldn’t imagine that owners of securitized loans would go along with the idea.

Mortgage rates trended down a bit late last week, with 30-year mortgage rates dropping just below 7%, according to Zillow data. This is a sign that the economy is coming into better balance, which is good news for mortgage rates. Once inflation slows enough that the Federal Reserve is able to start lowering the federal funds rate, mortgage rates should trend down. While high mortgage rates didn't bring prices down, steep insurance costs could put a lid on further appreciation. But there's an under-the-radar factor that could soon pull down home prices nationally, real estate experts told Business Insider — soaring home insurance costs. AdvertisementThe insurance costs usually come as a surprise to home buyers in those areas, Fairweather added. To Fairweather, it's more precise to say the rising insurance will make home values grow more slowly than they would have, as the robust demand still characterizes the current market. We take into account prices and mortgage rates and now rising insurance costs, but there's still people wanting to buy homes," she said.

Apple did not disclose revenue for the Vision Pro, the company's first new major device since the Apple Watch debuted in 2015. The Vision Pro is generally considered a higher-quality product than rival devices, with its sharper resolution as one key advantage. Jim, however, said the Vision Pro could be a positive contributor to Apple's earnings much sooner than others expect, as enterprise adoption drives more sales. Lowe's is using Vision Pro for immersive kitchen design, while Porsche is using it for "real-time team collaboration for racing," Cook said. He said Friday that Apple's developer conference in June — where more details on its AI strategy are widely expected — will also highlight new software programs written for the Vision Pro.

"I think of what a fashion editor is wearing — it's not Gucci," Lindsey Solomon, a fashion publicist, told BI. After taking the top spot on the Lyst Index of fashion's hottest brands in 2022, Gucci dropped to number 11 last quarter. "We still believe the Gucci brand's current growth rate, which is 10 times higher than that of the industry, represents a risk going forward," Morningstar's Sokolova wrote in a 2017 note. But there is one place where that symbol will be absent next week: inside the Eurovision Song Contest.
